  1. It`s non-productive to inssist on lawsuit, cause it`s obvious according to attitude of ICJ towards lawsuit of Bosnia & Herzegovina vs Serbia. If that lawsuit didn`t pass,so this one shall not pass too.It would be great thing for the political relationships on Balcan that both sides agreemently withdraw lawsuits, because that will be supstantial contribution in calming dawn spirits from the past of this area.

  2. In 1990 the majority in the Krajina and Western Slavonia was Serbian.
So the Serbs in these areas had the right to refuse to take part in Croatia´s becoming independent from Yugoslavia.

What makes me really angry is that the western countries acknowledge the secession "rights" of Croatians, Bosniaks and Albanians, but they deprive the Serbs of such right.

  3. Lenard,

I have given up on you answering my questions. That tells pretty much everything about you. I do not care that many visitors do not like my postings. So that means that an almost equal number of Serb lovers and Serb haters visit B92. And that conclusion is very scary. I would like to ask the Serb haters to share you real thoughts and feelings with us. I am curious how extreme they are and how much you have lowered yourselves.

  4. Lenard,

I am still waiting for you to answer my simple questions. Are you afraid to share your real ultra-nationalistic views with us? You are nothing but a computer warrior like so many visitors to this site.

  5. Poor old Croatia. It still can't figure out a way to drop its ridiculous suit (especially with the harmonious history they have) without loosing substantial face.

And they put themselves in this position by trying to gain face with Brussels. The irony!

Still, it is sad to see that there is no politician in Zagreb without the balls to do the right thing, even if it could mean a one way ticket to the political wilderness.

OTOH, if played correctly one of them could take the moral high ground and actually be respected for doing what they say and advancing prosperity and relations for all. But that would be asking too much...

  6. "neither side should withdraw their cases. let the court decide..."

The problem is is that these courts are heavily biased against Serbia - they are often run or heavily influenced by the countries which plotted against and then attacked Serbia. The same countries which helped the paramilitary and military of the non-Serbs kill and ethnically cleanse Serbs.

The census results proves which side was genuinely ethnically cleansed in Croatia: it is the Serbian population which plunged, not the Croat at all.

The Croatian population is the same and even greater percentage than pre-war. Further it is most all Croatian soldiers or police who died on the Croat side.

The civilians to soldiers killed ratio in Croatia, regarding the Croat casualties is much lower, for example, than in the wars launched by the U.S. The number of civilians killed in U.S. wars - Vietnam, Korea, Afghanistan, Iraq, Serbia, etc. is much higher than in these Balkan wars, which when the dust settles and facts (versus only claims) can be studied, finds that it was mostly military deaths after all.

The media greatly exaggerated the non-Serb civilian deaths during the war.
Deaths which they'd say are "collateral damage" when it came to directly bombing Serbian civilians.

  7. neither side should withdraw their cases. let the court decide who has done more damage to whom over the past 80 years; over 500,000 Serbs killed in Croatia or 10,000 Croats killed.

  8. Dragane,

    Well said!

Reminds me of Jovan Ducic's thoughts on our Croatian friends:

"Croatians are the bravest people in the world not because they have no fear but because they have no shame."

  9. Mrs Kotor is just saying that Serbia must give up something more...What Slovenia did to Croatia is a ringing bell for what could happen if Croatia will be let in before Serbia...

    Top

Let me explain what this article is trying to say:

Croatia will not withdraw its lawsuit but they might consider not to withdraw it after a debate in the croatian government.
In other words, it won't be withdrawn until the croatian government decides not to withdraw it.

Damn, you guys are slow ; )

  11. I would like to ask our loyal visitor and Serb-hater Lenard to share his opinion on the genocide committed on Serbs, Roma, and other undesirables of the Nazis and fascism by the Ustaša and their allies. Do you accept that part of Croatian history? Do you condemn it? Do you think that there is a connection between what happened during WWII and the way the Serbs responded in 1991 when the successor of the Independent Croatia was established and the atmosphere in Croatia had lots of similarities with attitude in WWII? What aspects of events during 1991-1995 justify it being called genocide? Do you even know the real definition of genocide. Croatia should continue its behavior and Serbia should never ever drop the real genocide charges against Croatia.

  12. I still find it amazing that the croats have the gall to actually accuse Serbia of genocide after they inflicted genocide TWICE on the Serbian population - 1941 and 1995. Croatia has a horrible and shameful history of Nazism and someone in the US State Department told them that the best defense is a good offense, so they went ahead and accused the victims of what they themselves are guilty of. Unbelievable. Only people with no shame, living in denial, and no scruples, can do something like this and keep a clear conscience.

  15. So much for Tadic's opening his hand out for reconciliation. What reality do we live in when Croatia accuses Serbia of genocide yet has never apologised for the slaughter zones of the NDH from 1941 and Tadic just goes along with it all.
What kind of leadership is this? What kind of people are leading us? What kind of a people are we that just accept this insanity?

  16. "Croatia will not withdraw lawsuit"

"The government will decide on this issue, but it has not yet discussed it," she said.

Am I stupid, or are these two sentence a bit contradictory?
