Umsak added that the KFOR soldier had been on patrol, and had got caught up near the scene of the crime by chance.
An argument, followed by an armed confrontation with three fatalities and injuries took place in Prizren’s central square, Šadrvan, at around 1530.
The regional police said that the victims were Arber Kransiqi (24), Jon Kuzini (16) and Nue Kqira (40). Two of the men were from Srbica, and one from the village of Smač in the Prizren municipality.
The police have arrested one person on suspicion of triple murder, though the individual has not been named. The motive of the attack is not yet known and an investigation is under way.
Šadrvan Square is increasingly becoming a scene of clashes, fights, and murders.
Paints a pretty picture: 'Šadrvan Square is increasingly becoming a scene of clashes, fights, and murders.'
I'm sure the violence in Kosova contributed to the depature of many a Serb. Kosova synoymous with the word lawless in more ways than one.

Yes there is crime in Serbia too, but not like in KiM. You cannot deny this.
albanian uck terrorists were put to run KiM by america - before this they wore army uniforms. Is this democracy? it's more like america's "new world order." Why was uck on the american terrorist list? can you tell me this? They couldn't have ended up there because they were selling flowers. Why did albanians try to attack for dix in america? Do you see Serbs carrying out terrorist acts in other countries?
Another fact you need to accept - when Serbs were in control of KiM there was LAW & ORDER. Since america occupied Serbia's southern province, KiM has become the most lawless place in europe.

What bothers me the most with this news report is that the accentuation is put on wounded KFOR soldier? And that is shameful because 3 young people died in clash for whatever reason, and yet KFOR soldier being wounded in Prizren makes the headline of the news. It makes me wonder is it the life of some foreign soldier (who is btw. just slightly wounded) much more worth or more important than 3 young locals that lost their lives.

In one 'European' country, only 7 years ago a democraticly elected PM was assisanted (something that has not happened in Europe for a long time), only few months ago a reporter was shot dea, only few months one man shot aroun 9 people from his village etc etc...
Kosovo has its problems but Serbia is no better. Everyday in B92 your read stories about organised crime in Serbia.
Serbs have killed more people in the last 50 years than any other nationality / country in Europe! Its a cheap shot, but true and a proper response to all those above.
so please step down from your high horse

Shoot outs in the center square, and the EU wants to build a multi-ethnic society. This region has fallen into anarchy. Kosovo should have been cleaned of it's criminal elements and lawlessness, before any thought of self-governance. UNMIK instead sat on their hands, feeling the cash in their pockets.

The killings weren't political, or related to ethnicity, religion, etc. They were a private dispute between random people - a kind of killing that happens in every country, every day, but that does not get reported by mass media. It could have been over anything (maybe the guy slept with the other guys wife, and the whole thing escalated....)
The KFOR soldier got wounded by a stray bullet.
Are you by any chance trying to suggest that no murders are commited in Serbia?
Coz if you are, I can remind you to plenty of cases.
I am not condoning this incident, since obviuosly three people died, but I just don't see the point of making this into some kind of political statement.

"caught up in this completely by accident while carrying out his duty "
- 3 killings is a accident ? The KFOR soldier being their was accidental - does that mean someone expected him not be there so they could get on with their accidental killings ?
Why was thi not in the western Mass Media ? Maybe 'it just won't do' to report such 'accidents'!
