Ahh by far my favourite pessimistic Serb, there are many way of fighting than the shield and sword.
I was a sceptic of Vucics policy but have become a convert as they are clearly working. His strategy is simple:
1. Develop Serbias economy. Judging by the influx of industry pouring in its working. Check
2. Discredit the entire notion of the Kosovo issue is resolved. Look at the nations that have withdrawn recognitions, or the change in attidudes from "sui generis" to okay maybe alittle land swap.
3. Policies are causing infighting between albanian politicians. they are extremly divided and kurti (who is obvioulsly hated by the trump administration) is the most popular politian, will lead them to ruin (ie loss of US support).
4. No foreign investments, due to not having a final resolved status (see point 2 and 3), its scaring away foreign investment. In tern the people have no jobs(let alone well paid jobs) and are leaving on mass.
In conclusion just because the M-84's are still on the training ground, it does not mean their isnt a battle happening. Its clear as day that its a slow bleed.

I'm sure many dream of winning the New York Lottery too. Just keep on dreaming. Thaci’s statement is for the benefit of Albo peasantry since they think that once Preshavo etc joins Kosovo a light will shine from heaven and gold will fall from the sky.
But there are problems with that line of thinking. First there are not enough Albos in those regions left as most have fled for greener pastures at the start of the breakup of Yugoslavia. Thaci’s thinking is based on an Albo population pre 1990 and not today. When the Germans said that passports and papers from Yugoslavia were no good as that country no longer existed and should be thrown away; well that’s exactly what people did and ended up staying in Germany despite many attempts of trying to return them to Serbia.
Second and this is always the hardest to get people to understand and that is money. Kosovo as it stands would last 3 wobbly weeks without aid so Brussels will have to increase aid to cover the extra territory – what are the chances of that today???? buckles and none. The EU is not giving Croatia money to repair the earthquake damaged buildings but offering loans.
