He also states that the influence of the United States will be strengthened, while Chinese foreign policy will face the consequences of the coronavirus pandemic, pointing out that the appointment of Lajcak and Borrell as special envoys for the dialogue on Kosovo is a wrong move on the part of EU.
"With the current crisis, the Balkans will become even more important for the great powers. Global frictions between China and the United States will intensify, and given that China wanted to exert pressure through the Balkans and Central Europe in order to destabilize the EU and NATO systems, it is normal that Washington will now try to strongly oppose this by using Chinese weaknesses. Chinese foreign policy will suffer long-term consequences due to the crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, and the Balkans will become one of the main fronts for the United States. Under such a scenario, I think the U.S. would want the Kosovo knot to be resolved quickly", he told Kosovo Online.
Asked whether it is now possible to expect a conference that was prepared by official Paris and Berlin before the pandemic, he answered that it is unlikely.
"The conference could be possible, but it is unlikely that it will be organized soon. The EU has suffered a crisis within the crisis and must stabilize first. Due to the lack of an appropriate response to the Italian and Spanish crises, the EU has strengthened the general perception of the importance of individual countries, failing to become anchored in our common destiny", he says, adding:
"COVID-19 has accelerated the process of reshaping the international order. The EU and the EC used to be important projects for the United States after World War II. Now Brexit, along with German dominance in Europe, is the reason for Washington's deeper, renewed engagement in our regional balance of power. The conference is welcome as a clarification on options, but any future conference on Kosovo will be far from the French-German idea present prior to the pandemic".

In the Bosnian conflict the EU "estimated" 20,000 rapes. The Bosnian muslims say its 50,000.
But a UN commission of experts identified approx 1600 cases.....

I have never been an apologist for Serbs. Many deserve to be in jails. But tell me why Oric is free? Why no Croat politician or general guilty of ethnic cleansing in 1995?

You talk of genocide, but ignore crimes against the Serbs. Can we hear your condemnation of nazi Croat crimes in WW2 (approx 1 million murdered civilians). Where is your condemnation of Croats cleansing of up to 300,000 Serbs in '95?
We know what Mladic did in Bosnia (but the figures are loaded). He deserves to be in jail. But where is your anger against Naser Oric for murdering a few thousand Serb civilians in the build up to Srebrenica? Mladic (wrongly) took his revenge.
There was no genocide in Kosovo, but a lot of crimes did take place on both sides.
International observers testify that there was little or no ethnic cleansing. People would run to hide from fierce gunfights but returned home when the fights ended. Most people ran to Macedonia and Albania to avoid nato bombs. This is well documented. So stop playing the victim and tell the truth. I have one more point to make.....

George Robertson (secretary for defence) said in parliament in october '98 that the kla had killed more people than the Serbian forces to date. Check it out yourself.
Things were going badly for the kla until they staged Racak. Racak was a hoax, and if you think otherwise tell us why nobody has taken up the matter in the Hague?
I grant you a lot of nasty things happened ON BOTH SIDES. But there is no doubt that Albanians were desperate to start a war and drag in America. The plan was always to steal Kosovo. Playing the victim also is an Albanian thing.

I am not Diana, all I want to say: I am scared and depressed. And I did not even lose my job!
I do not care less about "Balkan" petty problems, I care about USA and RU (and to some degree FR and HU) and our lives.
At this moment the regulations are less tough than few weeks ago - but people are scared to go outside. The streets are empty, a set of masks is 30 Euro and no gloves to buy (at least in France). The number of deaths in USA is over 95000. This is genocide. And the father of one of my colleague just passed away. The son of our representative in Switzerland got ill, so his girlfriend. My boss in USA recovered after 3 months struggle, I am just about to recover.

For the more serious on this site its a typical analysis from a Slovenian "expert". Slovenia is of course a member of the lap dag team sucking up to America. So no surprise about his views. But I sort of get what he is saying even though his starting position is loaded in Americas favour.
If any of you are interested in further and more in depth reading flick through a book by Tim Lawrence......"Prisoners of Geography". I think most of you will realise the title gives away what the book is about, and its very interesting. But for the likes of just waffling (who I suspect has never read a book and gets all his info on world matters from CNN) the book is about being in the wrong place geographicaly and hence you are often subject to invasions, wars, etc. Just waffling, it falls into Geopolitics, but google for more info as this may be way over your head....

They are worried that Serbia will turn towards China and Russia more while they are left funding an unrecognised black hole in Kosovo. The ones who bombed Serbia are desperate to try and wash their hands of it and clain success!! They'll never bomb Serbia again, so now they will try and say what good friends they are and how they only want to bring freedom and democracy to the Balkans just like they did in Iraq, libya etc etc. America doesn't have friends nor does it spread charity, it only has its own interests as the people of kosovo will soon find out if they haven't already. Ask the kurds.
