I expect this will massively boost already substantial support for Medicaid for all. Yet another case of having to hit rock bottom and bouncing before lessons can be learned. A very sad state of affairs indeed.

(a strongly anti-Russian, anti-Chinese and anti-government source) this year so far 2356 people died in Hungary which is 17% less, than last year and the significantly better numbers are due the fact that the "common" flu was weaker this year.
That means, last year = x, this year = 2356, x * (100-17) / 100 = 2356 or x = 2356 / 0.83 = 2839. And indeed, 17% of 2839 is 483, 2839 - 483 = 2356.
Everything is rounded, Малюта Скуратов and quartering of people is for 16th century.
So there was 483 deaths more in 2019, than in 2020, as the source tells us "due the outbreak of common flu".
No other details are provided, but 9 deaths due Wuhan-virus versus 300+ deaths due common flu looks even an underestimate.
Hope that "9" won't rise, but here I start to scratch my head. The bug is nasty and I still suffer of course, but put the math together.

Meanwhile in 2020 Hungary has 9 people passed away due complications caused by Wuhan-virus and so far 2356 people passed away due other reasons. Which is significantly better, than it was last year with extremely strong wave of common flu infections:

Sadly the way the US is structured and it's total lack of preparedness, you ain't seen nothing yet. Medical experts from Johns Hopkins have repeated their warnings that hundred of thousands will be lost.
