Richard Grenell thanked Vicic for his hospitality on the joint press conference and said he would "push both sides" to reach an agreement in the dialogue.
The taxes must be abolished, he said, adding that the campaign to withdraw recognitions of Kosovo's independence must end. Grenell said that yesterday in Pristina, during his meetings with leaders and the business community, he said that the 100 percent tax on Serbian goods must be abolished.
However, he made the same request in Belgrade, regarding the recognition withdrawal campaign, which has to stop, Grenell said.
Asked by a reporter if this was fair, Grenell said:
"When we talk about whether something is fair or not, it is not for me to say it, it is up to me to bring the two sides together and it is up to the parties to decide. The parties will tell me what they think and what they want. I try to focus on a better future of the people in Kosovo and in Serbia. We must do everything we can to overcome what everyone sees as an open conflict. If both sides fail to reach an agreement, we will withdraw".
Grenell pointed out that yesterday in Pristina, at meetings with all leaders and the business community, he conveyed that 100 percent taxes on Serbian goods must be abolished as they are unacceptable.
"I'm making the same request here, regarding the recognition withdrawal campaign, which has to stop", Grenell said.
He said that "we must move towards the economy," job creation, which means abolishing taxes which will lead to greater wealth and a more normal situation when it comes to trade. Grenell said he also met with businessmen in Kosovo while visiting Pristina, who said they agree the tax must be abolished.
"We are all focused on that and I am convinced we are going in that direction", Grenell said.

What they don’t realise is that both Serbia and the US have no real plan to divide Kosovo but for different reasons. The only losers are the so-called Illyrians. Why? If no agreement is reached then its status quo, but if it gives them comfort that the tax is hurting Serbia then that’s good but it’s their Albos that pay higher prices for everything LOL.
The US has no friends it only has servants and they are very happy to keep status quo as their only interest is Camp Bondsteel. As far as Grenell is concerned, he came to Belgrade to repeat what has been said many times but knowing it’s not acceptable to the Serbs while Albos are cornered since they have no room to move; either bow to what the US wants or its back to the Serbs LOL.

It looks like it is a very-very bad sin to be Albanian from Shkodër with limited knowledge of Serbian language. That should make any Albanian a Serb. And such Albanian can't be Albanian and should be never trusted.
Even more, such Albanians should be bullied and trolled where they just appear.
The ultimate decision about all this should be made by a person who does not need to display any knowledge of Albanian and who is in panic to stand up for a cultural match-up against such "non-Albanian" Serb from Shkodër.

Russia was poor and on it's knees economically and couldn't fight for anyone else.
Now we have a strong Russia and China with billions invested. Do you think China wants to see all that gone?
If China and Russia aren't helping Serbia then how come "Kosova" can't get into any organisation needed in order to be a sovereign country?
Can Serbia block that on it's own? No. It takes Russia and China to stop it.
