For a change we have a western leader calling it as it stands, and yes NATO is dead like the Dodo bird, but no one dares openly say it except Macron.
If anyone is deluded to think that the US will come to the EU’s rescue in a conflict, all I say is keep dreaming. Macron has said the US does not have the willpower, manpower or financial resources to help out.
What he has suggested makes more sense in that they need to form a European army. I am not a fan of politicians and even less of Macron but I do give credit to honesty and sensible proposals. As far as Merkel is concerned, well its bye bye Angela and your views matter little.

Macron is speaking the truth, the reality of is happening. NATO is dead, it was designed by Washington to exert its influence in Western Europe, a propaganda tool. Macron is the only Western leader who sees the bigger picture and is looking to preserve France, not EU or others. His recent solo trip to China to sign trade deals and not admitting the Balkans nation into the EU is an example. France is not willing to subsidies any more. Immigration will be next on his list. Germany under Merkel is still stuck in the past
