JS - alias Makeaj Serbisha Greatçi - this entire debate is moot.
The only comment I truly enjoyed was of Azir because it did show his usual wisdom and deep insight knowledge of U.S. politics.
And the forum is dead wrong, 100% - because Azir according own confession has nothing to do with Kosovah* and Albania. Maybe he is into turkey - it's the proper time of the year.
Why this discussion is moot: because it takes more than the "pantsir" to get the sanctions. No one will approve them outside of the States.
At worst, what will happen:
1) Some Serbian businessmen involved into that deal will get a permanent ban to the U.S.
Poor souls, they won't be able to buy U.S. cars directly (but no official U.S. car dealership is allowed to sell cars to foreigners anyway). And they won't be able to see the Grand Canyon.
I don't see any loss here for us or them.
2) Serbia will be permanently out of the F-35 deal, pretty much like that turkey-bird. The F-35 is a toothless airplane, probably the most expensive in the world, good a little bit of everything, excelling at nothing. A pet project of U.S. military system, at your and my cost.
Don't forget, all your and my money taken for Medicare goes straight into Andromeda Galaxy, we won't be able to claim a single Cent out of it, ever.
No one except very few will miss the iPhone 12 Pro.

I hope Serbs realize that we are not getting the Russian S400 defense system. The reports by some rather naive commentaters are only misleading the poor Serbian people. We are feed enough lies by are own government, we don’t need further misinformation. You do realise that nothing has happened in the last 12 months as a result of those taxes. Serbia has not recognised Kosovo, and in fact a few more countries have revoked recognition. So tell us how this benefits Kosovo? There is little/no investments, still mass unemployment and widespread corruption. And here are you cheering on this scenario...!??
Its amazing that you people get more joy when seeing Serbia is damaged than Kosovo prospering. Its known as cutting your nose to spite your face. I doubt that the Americans will impose sanctions on Serbia. But if they do I doubt too many countries will do the same. This is not an international agreement, its just US bullying. So I really wouldn't be jumping for joy. It would be wiser to worry about the poverty in Kosovo rather than hoping/predicting what may or may not happen.

Darko D, nobody is saying that it was easy under sanctions. However would you just raise your hands in defeat every time your country faces injustice? You are ok with America telling you what you can and cant do......in your own country?
I know my history well and not sure most Serbs would agree with you. I guess you would have just accepted Islam and the Ottomans, and just allowed the Austro-Hungarians and Germans to enslave you?
As for other nations uniting against America, well, that aint such an outrageous proposal. They probably wouldn't do it to come to the aid of Serbia, but to rid the world of an imperialist thieving nation that has caused chaos in most of central and south America, just about the whole of the middle east, Africa, the far east and the Balkans. It sure could be done and it only takes 3 or 4 significant nations to come together, ie, China, Russia, India, Brazil, etc.

I was, and some of my friends were joking how the ruling political party compelled its constituency to attend. It is a rather well-known "secret" that you can't get a government job -- not even as a 1st-grade teacher -- without supporting the ruling party. When the government starts hiring and firing based on performance, then we can talk seriously. Until then, the flag-waving (whether toward the Russians or Americans) is meaningless. Fundamental reforms are necessary for a prosperous society.

There is a new financial system in place that bypasses the US system altogether. Today there is the New Development Bank that directly competes with both the World Bank and IMF and I could go on and on.
Look at how the S400 arrived in Serbia via Bulgaria and Bulgaria is a NATO member. Yes, Serbia did suffer terribly during the 1990s sanctions and most Serbs would acknowledge they were hard times, but this is not the 1990s. Do you think for one moment that the west would not do it again if it could? In a heartbeat, but they can’t. So, I would not worry.
These US clowns are coming to Belgrade to kiss Serbian arse while portraying they were tough. Just look at Palmer, while in Pristina he was tough towards Serbia but when in Belgrade he was licking Vucic’s hand.

Every once in a while one hear the expression ”mutual recognition”. Can someone please explain what the heck it means.
I mean, Serbia is where it is. Recognized by 193 real countries. Kosovo, a Serbian disputed province, will never be an own state recognized by China and Russia. (As a must if 1244 will be abolished).
More or less ten countries have revoked their recognition of Kosovo and there are a dozen more to come.

Imagine robber worried about home owners buying and installing alarm systems and threatening them consequences of such acquisition!
Why would they be worried about S 400? It's a defensive weapon. You can't attack anyone with it. You can only defend yourself from other side attacks with it.
Anyway, Serbia is not getting S 400, but Pantzir , so they will still have a leverage..

The Americans truly are a bunch of arrogant bullies who ignore international law and behave like spoilt little shits.
They are pushing for a conflict while others are trying to keep the peace. I very mùch doubt that this will have much effect in Serbia or Russia. And if sanctions really are coming then so be it. Serbia can and will survive, and will win.
Perhaps its time for countries to unite against America and sanction them. If Russia, China, India and some south American nations get together they would bring those bullies to their knees. Its about time because the world is sick of "American democracy", double standards, stealing resources and perpetual wars they keep causing.

If the US has to rely on sanctions it only shows how weak it has become. No, they are in Belgrade to talk the Serbs out of acquiring the S400 since acquisition of these weapons makes the US lose any leverage on Belgrade.
Personally, I hope they put sanctions on Serbia as that will then guarantee Belgrade turning it back on the west. With the new financial system in place sanctions are no longer an issue. They have sanctions on Russia and last year the Russian economy grew by 2.5% which was the same as in the US, EU and Australia.
But they wont LOL. I hope the Albos are paying attention to what is going on here.

American military hardware is outdated over priced garbage. Serbia has endured and lived with sanctions. S400 in Serbia on military drills has USA worried. Now that the exercises has been completed, Putin can send the S400 any time he feels like it without a massive platoon. S400 in Serbia will secure the skies, a ground force is the only way to get to Serbia. Congress and NATO did not allow ground troops invasion, only air strikes. This time, can air strikes achieve the same results as 99?
