Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic stated, after the talks with Senators Ron Johnson and Chris Marfy, that both sides should lose equally, in order for both sides to gain equally". "This is the only way to strike the deal", Vucic reiterated.
He told reporters after the meeting that he conveyed to the US senators an unequivocal stance that Serbia expects the abolishing of taxes and wants a compromise, but that a deal can't be about fulfilling one side's goals, without the Serbian side getting anything.
"This should be an agreemen in which both sides lose equally, in order for both sides to gain equally", Vucic said during a press conference.
Vucic said that Belgrade is ready for any conversation because that is healing, adding that improving relations between Serbs and Albanians and establishing lasting peace would be of great benefit to Serbs and Albanians, as well as to all peoples living in the region.
He thanked the senators and said that he highly appreciates their efforts to find a solution to resuming the dialogue. Vucic also said that Serbia's interest is to intensify high-level political dialogue and that relations between the two countries need to be based on a partnership.
He said he was grateful to the senators for visiting and engaging in the region and for their desire to preserve stability and achieve lasting peace. "I am convinced that the desire to improve relations between Serbia and the US is mutual", said Vucic, adding that there was also talk about economic cooperation that will greatly benefit the citizens.
U.S. Senator Ron Johnson said that Belgrade and Pristina should give something in order to gain something in return.
Senator Chris Murphy said that resolving the Kosovo issue requires a major compromise and can only be done if sacrifices are made by both sides. Probably the agreement won't be satisfying to either side, but when it be in effect, potential benefit of the whole nation will be much better", Johnson concluded on the press conference.
"Of course, the biggest pressure will be on Serbia. But Serbia cannot recognize Kosovo's independence unless a compromise is reached. And there's no great philosophy here. And whoever likes to, can torment us", Vucic said at the news conference.
He said that Serbia is making progress and that US appreciates it and wants to encourage it.
If Serbia is isolated then its one of the weirdest forms of isolation I have ever encountered since your supporters aka the US and EU keep visiting Belgrade daily. The airport has to be extended since there is not enough room for all those who are isolating Serbia. Yet NO One goes to Kosova – No one.

You are right on one thing, and that is that Serbia has lost €400 million due to taxes. But do you know Serbias GDP in 2018 was over $50 billion..? The taxes have done littls damage to Serbia. Imagination? Ha..ha yes, wait and see how that "imagination" of mine becomes your nightmare. Kosova has put Serbia's both feet in one shoes with the tax. Kosova has Serbia lose 400 million euros and lost their market in Kosova for good and had Serbia beat at their own game. Serbia, by trying to use the tax as an excuse for not continuing with the dialogue has given Kosova time to prepare the field with the heavy involvement of our best allies, which as a result now we have Palmer directly involved in this dialogue and let's not forget the almighty Merkel that is very supportive of Kosova. On top of all this, we have a new set of diplomats in EU with Merkel's own party diplomat Ursula being the head of EU. Now that everything is aligned in our favor we might even suspend the taxes for a couple of weeks to have the West put the extreme pressure on little Vucic to sign the recognition of the Republic of Kosova!

Simply because the US approved the tariffs imposed by Pristina not Haradjin (he is an American tool, literally and metaphorically speaking, since he is too dumb to come up with such an idea). The US does not want to divide Kosovo and neither does Serbia.
I would say to the Americans anything they want to hear. Why create tension knowing very well Serbia will not hold talks while tariffs are in place and even if the tariffs are lifted nothing will happen. The tariffs are a lame strategy to change Serbia’s stance, but has failed magnificently as with everything the US does these days.
Round and round it goes. Meanwhile Serbia supports Serbs in Kosovo and is improving their living conditions, but the west will not do the same for their friends the Albos. The only big losers are the Albos.
As far as getting in to the EU LOL. Even if Serbia had fulfilled all requirements, they would not become a member until 2035 at the earliest.
Vucic is a master at the underdog approach. I have not seen better in a long, long time and the US politicians are lapping it up.

Imagination? Ha..ha yes, wait and see how that "imagination" of mine becomes your nightmare. Kosova has put Serbia's both feet in one shoes with the tax. Kosova has Serbia lose 400 million euros and lost their market in Kosova for good and had Serbia beat at their own game. Serbia, by trying to use the tax as an excuse for not continuing with the dialogue has given Kosova time to prepare the field with the heavy involvement of our best allies, which as a result now we have Palmer directly involved in this dialogue and let's not forget the almighty Merkel that is very supportive of Kosova. On top of all this, we have a new set of diplomats in EU with Merkel's own party diplomat Ursula being the head of EU. Now that everything is aligned in our favor we might even suspend the taxes for a couple of weeks to have the West put the extreme pressure on little Vucic to sign the recognition of the Republic of Kosova!

Isolated Serbia from the world is China's dream to invest in and trap them diplomatically. Serbia is a country that China was able to manipulate and thru them get their presence in Europe. Serbia has no natural resources or population to attract any investors. Serbia's population is old and the little youth they have are all gone in the West in search of a decent living. Kosova has the youngest population in Europe and has the mine giant Trepca that has investors lining up to invest in. Your gullibility is mindblowing.

You are right on one thing, and that is that Serbia has lost €400 million due to taxes. But do you know Serbias GDP in 2018 was over $50 billion..? The taxes have done littls damage to Serbia. But they have put prices up in Kosovo (5-6%). We also know there will be new diplomats in Europe soon (as you put it). And so what? Whats gonna change and how do you know that?
What will the mightl Merkel do to Serbia?? Explain? Palmer is just another Yank in a long list of Americans who think they can do something.
