#1: there is Albanian minority in Russia and Ukraine, so I guess, we kept mixing. If you look at the human history in last 200K years: yes, we kept mixing.
My guess: having Albanian (Bulgarian, Russian) ancestors is better, than go the way of dinosaurs who ultimately failed at sex.
#2: The Kazakh + Belarus story is simply historical. Anyone with Serbian passport can spend 30 days in Russia at once. With visa, anyone with American passport can spend 180 days in Russia at once. For good or bad, Kazakhs and Belarus can spend 365 days.
Think about Pakistanis who in general can't even get a visa...

You forgot one thing. We did throw live men to their sure death to free them. Our technology was behind the Ottoman army because they had German support and canons from Krupp, we did not.
It was ultimately a Romanian general with Armenian-Circassian background who could secure German canons and came to our help with Romanian troops.
As a "result": year after year and century after century Bulgarian governments kept back-stabbing both Russians and Romanians, 7/24 - and busy to lick the German boots.
If not "Pilevne" there would be no "Bulgaria" today.
But why Ohrid used to be the capital of Bulgaria?

I wouldn't call the visa-free travel to all former Soviet Union, EU, all S.America, Australia, Japan, Taiwan, etc. an "isolation".
As for China - the 10year "permanent" visa is pretty much the best one can secure (except of course the visa-free travel with Russian-issued APEC card, but that is a special thing).
Even without his Serbian passport, Sken1444 would get a 3-year "permanent" Russian visa on better conditions than almost any "visa-free" regime (being able to stay there for 6 months without yearly limit vs. max. 3 months in 180-day period). Only citizens of Kazakhstan or Belarus do it better.

Ok you added the qualifier, the addition of the qualifier would solve the dispute with Greece, the solution of the dispute would pave the way for Macedonia's euroatlantic ambitions, first of all Nato membership. This is what both macedonians and albs in Macedonia declare to the whole world. A referendum was needed and failed but its ok, America has tsipras by the balls and greeks stopped whining about it. Stop with the theatrics. No one changed anything to get into NATO, we added a geographic qualifier to Macedonia to resolve a disput with Greece. The only nato protectorate in the region is Kosovo with its camp bondsteel, Macedonia is a stable internationally recognised country, far more than can ever be said about your beloved kosovaaaa. Kosovo is the only territory that needs a visa to travel to Western Europe and after the recent vote in the Netherlands, this will happen in Albania as well. Why ? Late in the 19th century the Serbs changed a few letters of the Bulgarian language and then told the Bulgarians living in “South Serbia” that they were now “Macedonian” and the dummies believed them.
