In the ruling published on Tuesday on its website, the Appellate Court ordered the trial to be repeated before the Higher Court in Belgrade, in order to eliminate all illogical points from the verdict, as well as and violation of the criminal procedure.
By the abolished verdict sentenced former Secretary of the government of Serbia, Zivka "Cica" Knezevic to one and a half years in prison, while then director of Dipos Milos Loncar was sent to jail for one year on charges of abuse of office. Markovic was found to have incited both to commit the crime.
The original verdict was pronounced almost 15 years after the initiation of criminal proceedings, which will now be resumed with a retrial. Markovic was tried in absentia because she was inaccessible to the judicial authorities of Serbia.
Representatives of the General Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Federation in 2010 announced that Markovic enjoys the status of a political refugee in that country and that she cannot be arrested on the Serbian Interpol notice, which was issued in 2005 and is still in effect.

Do you ever stop whining like a baby? If you hate the West so much why do you live there.

Unlike you I was born in the west, but the same west treat Albos like s*** and you still love them. I was not whining only pointing out what you would get in the west if you committed the same transgression.
You should read your comment and that is whinning.

In 1989 the SFRY owned 12500 properties in Serbia, by 2001 this was less than 300.
In a massive fraud, many of the properties had their value reduced in official government register before officials from SRS, SPS, SNP and JUL bought them and later sold them sold for massive profits.
One of those people was Slobodan Milosevic who bought 80ar in Dedinje for well below its market value. After he was removed from power he was arrested for it.
Milosevics' bodyguard also got a house
Here is a case against his wife. I am not sure what part of this that you are calling propoganda?
I believe that B92 once produced a documentary about this but I have not seen it.
When Milosevics were gone, Milan Milutinovic took over the scheme to transfer the diplocmtic properties to party officals and supporters
Here are some of the people who benefitted In Dedinje. Seseljs' SRS were mostly involved in Zemun rather that Dedinje.
If all Mira Milosevic was charged with is "influencing a government commission in 2000 to illegally assign a state-owned apartment to her grandchild's nanny" then it is a little rich being sentenced 15 years prison time. In the west a person would get a hefty fine with some community service. I have seen people doing things many times worse and doing less than 12 months community service.

Serbia's justice is a total joke! Her face is that of a haunted person whom husband killed thousands of innocent souls in the Balkans. Her real punishment will be delivered by God!

Like her husband killed thousands of souls (and harvested the ever important organs) throughout the Balkans...every single thing you say resounds 1000 times more when you look in the mirror its amazing ahah

So not Even the special Amazing Serbian-Russian relationship can do anything about this?? (Eugene, 26 March 2019 15:37)
Very true! And an interesting situation. Serbia can't get Russia to return oe of their criminals to punish them for corruption. But what else should we expect from corrupt oligarchical Russia?

Following in the tradition of her husband and also her friends from the Radical party who reallocated much of the Yugoslavian government property and land in Dedinje to family and party supporters. (Dw, 26 March 2019 17:06)
Where do you get your information? From the Radical party?? Let's get this straight so that you can improve on your propaganda. The Radical party is not a Communist party. The SPS is the successor of the Yugoslav Communist party which was responsible for the confiscation of much of Yugoslav private property after Tito's Communists seized power in 1945. But guess what, the United States turned it's back on the democratic forces of King Peter II of Yugoslavia. The British just followed the US and Russia leaders Roosevelt,Truman and Stalin as Churchill was not a "faithful" ally as history falsely portrays.

They commited so many crimes that the government later had to change the law to allow these people to keep the properties
Many people incorrectly think that this law was introduced to help families who added a 5m3 room to house refugee cousins from the wars.
The government will not investigate because so many who are still in power were involved this but it has been estimated that 15% of illegal properties built from then until the recent law changes are for family housing and 85% were built for profit.
