In spite of being accounted among pizzerias, this restaurant offers much more in the form of pastas, salads and a long list of dishes with various kinds of meat, grilled specialties and pancakes. We decided to choose something from that other part of the menu.

The Galla plate is a classic entrée consisting of a small quantity of heavy cream (a bit sour in taste), a few grilled mushrooms, one piece of breaded hard cheese, and Njeguška prosciutto. All ingredients on the plate were tasty, but the presentation of the food could have been more imaginative and a kinder service would have made a lot of difference. Instead of bread, we got hot flat breads made of pizza dough, an interesting touch.

The Galla pasta with smoked hard cheese, prosciutto, neutral cream and Parmesan was tasteful, compact and rather strong in taste. The Galla specialty consisted of pieces of chicken breast in a thick, piquant cream sauce, hard cheese and ham, sprinkled with Parmesan.

This combination was ample and salty and the chicken might have been a little tenderer. After this extremely filling meal, we wanted something lighter for dessert, but there were only pancakes to choose from.

However, the portions served to other guests seemed huge, although they looked quite appealing at the same time. Being one of several restaurants in the neighborhood, at a not-so-attractive location, this restaurant has a loyal clientèle, judging by the number of guests present at the time of our visit.

Meal for two costs around 1,900 dinars.
