15 years since Štrpce kidnapping
Today marks 15 years since 19 Muslims were kidnapped at the Štrpci train stop.
Source: B92The victims, passengers in a Belgrade-Bar train on February 27, 1993, were selected for their nationality, as the train was forced to stop in Štrpce, a part of Bosnian territory.
They were taken to the vicinity of Višegrad, in eastern Bosnia, to be tortured and murdered.
The incident took place while the war was raging in that country, and Serb paramilitaries led by Milan Lukić were identified as perpetrators.
The families of the victims will today meet with Prijepolje mayor Nedžad Turković.
The anniversary will also be marked by performances and participation from a number of human rights NGOs.
