The Serbian Armed Forces will conduct a large military exercise at the training ground in Nikinci today at 1 p.m., which will be attended by the President of the Republic and the Commander-in-Chief.

According to the information of Novosti, the most modern equipment possessed by our units will be displayed.

Special focus will be on the use of drones and not only those for field reconnaissance.

Vučević adds that those older people who "stepped into the fourth decade" should also undergo this training.

Vucevic told today's Blic that a shorter military service should be introduced for them, lasting three weeks, emphasizing that an expert discussion on the re-introduction of mandatory military service is forthcoming.

"Reintroducing military service aims to train the next generation to deal with crisis situations so that the citizens of Serbia are safe. We are restless when we have a flood or a fire, and we don't know how to react," said the minister.

He stressed that when talking about the return of mandatory military service, it is not about warfare, but about the army being at the service of the citizens.

"I think we should return mandatory military service, whether it is three weeks or three months, or some other period, absolutely, I'm in favor of that", Vucevic concluded.
