Freedom House publishes 2011 report

The number of people worldwide with access to free and independent media declined to its lowest level in over a decade, according a Freedom House study.

The report - Freedom of the Press 2011: A Global Survey of Media Independence - was released to coincide with May 3, marked as UNESCO's World Press Freedom Day.

The U.S. NGO published its finding in several separate files; the most relevant are available for download in PDF format below
