The government will reevaluate this decision according to the epidemiological situation on February 20, it was also announced. It will then be decided whether the contract will be terminated, Belgrade daily Blic writes.
Health Minister Tomica Milosavljević said that the inoculation of the citizens will continue.
“We have 850,000 doses and we do not have to take the rest of the vaccines. We are not giving up on the vaccination, but by February 20 will be propose appropriate measures to the government based on epidemiological analyses,” said he.
All this comes as the inoculation, which started on December 17, thus far produced disappointing results, with about 1.7 percent of Serbia's population receiving the swine flu vaccine.
