“They told me that they wanted to get out of Serbia to get Đelić and Dinkić off their backs, as it is very hard to stop work while things are in full stride,” Ilić told Jagodina-based Palma Plus TV.
He said that “we are blocking ourselves and being our own worst enemies.”
“I had a talk with Austrian businessmen yesterday who were brought to me by an Austrian parliamentary party leader who wholeheartedly supports Serbia in its entirety with Kosovo. He wants to appear on our media and say that publicly, that Austrian businessmen support Serbia only with Kosovo, and that they want to invest here, because they believe that Serbia is a good place for investment,” said Ilić.
The minister said that he is “sick of hearing that foreign investors are avoiding Serbia. On the contrary, investors are coming to Serbia every day.”
“In effect, Đelić and Dinkić have not brought a single agreement, a single job, a single investment to Serbia. Đelić is talking about currency relaxations which are normal in all countries, while Dinkić is talking nonsense, giving empty promises,” Ilić insisted.
He said that failure to support ratification of the energy agreement with Russia was “irrational and damaging, because young, unemployed people will suffer most because of this.”
“Unemployment is the number one problem and in order to solve it, we need large investments, such as the Horgoš-Požega highway and the South Stream gas pipeline,” said Ilić.
“I do not understand how Nenad Čanak has been able to influence the Democratic Party (DS) and G17 Plus to such an extent. These are not the people that we cooperated with so well in government, who fought for every job,” lamented the minister.
