“The Democratic Party (DS) has a slight increase while the Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS) is falling, and if elections were held now and it would barely make the census. It is interesting that the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP), which is a relatively new party, has had a steady but small increase. Since recently, LDP and DSS have about evened out,” Logar, an analyst for Strategic Marketing, said, without givig any further details of the poll conducted.
Even if the campaigning will focus on European integrations and the Kosovo problem, Logar said that she believes that "voters will pick the party that explains in the best way possible how regular people will be living after the elections".
“The parties dealing with the standard of the citizens are on the rise. As long as the citizens perceive that the Serb Radical Party (SRS) is dealing with the lives of the people, and not just Kosovo, or just patriotic and national problems, the SRS will have a large voter body,” Logar said.
Even though the SRS received the most seats in the parliament after the elections on January 21, 2007, a ruling coalition and parliamentary majority was formed between DS, G17 plus, DSS and New Serbia with the added support of minority parties.
More than four million voters participated in the last parliamentary elections – about 60.4 percent of registered voters in Serbia.
I can't see how the pro-European parties have an advantage when the man (Solana) who lead bombing attacks on Serbia supports them. Is B92 going to post this type of nonsense from the "analyst of the day" every day until the election?
