Announcing the event, dubbed This American Wife, the Library's European Division highlighted Trobozic Garfield's "wry observations describing life in the U.S. as viewed by an outsider, from feminism, romance, public solitude, and shopping as entertainment, to art, culture and the media."

Trobozic Garfield is a Serbian film and theater producer who has lived several years in Washington DC. She is a columnist whose articles written for B92 have recently been published in the book Mali Saveti za Bolji Zivot (A little advice for a better life).

Trobozic Garfield is married to prominent U.S. journalist and analyst Bob Garfield.
