1. Significant parts of this opinion piece were published verbatim in the Guardian on Friday November 11th, 2016. Neither B92 nor the Guardian cite the other as a source. The author's duplication of his written opinion in multiple publications, without appropriate citation, displays a level of unscholarly corruption that is worse than the populists he condemns.

  2. What a load of tosh.Another Oxbridge academic who knows nothing of the real world. Probably blames Serbia for the first world war too.
People have had enough. Some of the things these populists say are extreme, but that is only because it is the only way the people will get any kind of deal going up against the elites. Start far out to the right or left and then meet somewhere in the middle. If you start in the middle with these globalisation elitist fanatics, you get nowhere.

  4. The writer does not understand why his form of Puritanism is detatching itself from the day-to-day thinking of many normal decent people. That Puritanism seeks to tell people what to think, and people soon learn to see that there are failings in the inflexible systems that it creates. The answer to that is to take back powers that the Puritans have accumulated - that may look like nationalism, but is actually more about regaining self-sovereignty.
