"Another 924 opposition fighters - ranging from US-backed rebels to members of Al-Qaeda's Syrian affiliate and IS rival Al-Nusra Front - were also killed in the Russian strikes," reported the agency, quoting the group.
Russia started its campaign on September 30, "claiming to target Islamic State, while the West said it was a form of support to Syrian President Bashar al-Assad."
The French agency said that "Russia has come under growing criticism from rebels, human rights groups, and the West for inflicting civilian casualties."
It is very hard to hear that civilians are being killed. The whole point of Russian intervention is to get rid of IS and their supporters but when "brave" IS and the others affiliated with them hide among civilians it is they who should bare the blame. In order to target IS unfortunately civilians get killed. There is no such thing as an army base, convoy or even a town where they are alone. They are in cities using civilians as human shields.
If anyone else here has a solution to how beat IS without hitting civilians as well they should say so instead of just condemning Russia.

Perhaps the London-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights might want to mention how many have the western alliance killed or did they do it in a democratic fashion with lots of transparency and humanely.

1/3 civilian victims of Russian air strikes. Is this below average or more than average compared to other bombing campaigns?

Slavs? The U.S. military has killed more innocent civilians than all of the worlds militaries combined. Where is the outrage!!!

What do you expect from the slavs? Its in their blood to kill honest people, they have being doing it for years and will carry on doing for many more to come. Nevertheless, they still still regard themselves as inocent as a clear water.

The Russians are using the U.S. and NATO playbook and the west gets upset. Just waiting for the Russians to use the term collateral damage, that would be classic!
