1. Commenting on statements coming from the opposition that "the foreign factor" influenced the composition of the new cabinet, he described them as "belonging to political fiction."

No, it's belonging to the widespread Serbian mentality to believe in conspiracy theories, and that everything that happens is controlled and orchestrated by 'foreign factors'. Usually, it's the 'evil west', but in this case, this 'foreign factor' can only be Russia that wanted to have the socialists/ex-communists as part of the government.

    ?

Why stop with the Serbs? They are not a special case at all. You could say the same of the rest of the Balkans and the world. The conspiracy mentality is widespread globally. The nature of modern neo-liberal capitalism and globalization makes it increasingly true.

  2. "Comm. Parrisson

I don't get your negative stance towards Russia. You would be happy to see sanctions against Russia put in place yet Russia has never done such a thing towards Serbia"

No, I wouldn't, because those sanctions (which are more or less symbolic, like not granting visa to Russian oligarchs) are pointless. It's good for Serbia to stay neutral (though especially the SPS delegates in the European council didn't so, but voted against banning Russian delegates from voting).

And I only said: In case you are a supporter of conspiracy theories and think the Serbian government is chosen or influenced by 'foreign powers' (I don't think so, btw), this time it was surely not the 'evil west' who demanded Mr. Dacic to be given a minister position government.
I think it was a decision of Vucic, and a good one, at least a much better one that the totally stupid idea to give Dacic the prime minister position in the last government though SPS was the much smaller coalition partner

  3. None of the Russian officials has any money or property in Serbia, none of them travels there either... a travel ban imposed by Serbia on Russia would make no difference AT ALL! They should have imposed these sanctions in coordination with the Russians, but sadly, Russians are such arrogant people...

  4. Comm. Parrisson

I don't get your negative stance towards Russia. You would be happy to see sanctions against Russia put in place yet Russia has never done such a thing towards Serbia, on the other hand NATO headed by the US bombed Serbia and also those member states imposed very harmful sanctions on Serbia, but to you Russia is the problem here. Why are you so quick to point the finger at Russia? Your mind seems to be completely blank as to what NATO member states did not only to Serbian authorities but to the Serbian people. It baffles me that there are people like you who on foreign issues involving the US and Russia you seem to always side with your US and EU idols, pathetic.

  5. Dacic should have also mentioned the utter hypocrisy and double standards coming from the EU & the US when it comes to territorial integrity and international law!

  6. Kind of an easy stand to take. Of the imposed sanctions announced to date does anyone think that they could possibly be impacted by Serbia. Does anyone think that there is one Dinar/Ruble of the powerful elite in Russia invested in Serbian banks. Or that any of them would be affected by a travel ban.

  7. "Serbia will never join sanctions against Russia"

If your US patron says so and the bait is €USSR/Titanic, i think you will.

There was a reason the occupying regime imposed their quislings on Serbia and this is one of them, refuse and your out. There is, however, a price to pay when you start to cutting your limbs off so to speak and repeatedly shooting yourself in the foot on order. When serbs eventually stop being Flagellants and self-haters for sins the victors of the war, NATO and their show tribunals say they commited, they will start to collect that price...
