“The European Union’s borders cannot be chiseled into stone and they are thus not fixed,” he said.
The EU can, according to Solana, decide not to expand beyond the states that have already entered integration talks, or those to whom it promised a clear European future, including those in the Balkans..
When it comes to the future of EU borders, the German daily reiterated the fact that the EU border issue has been made part of the debate surrounding the European Constitution that was denied support in the Netherlands and France.
Dear friends, as Spaniard I prefer to call this union "The Stupid States of Solana", who is by the way known in Spanish media as "Tiger-Kan the Second of Mongolia". From the EU contry that could lose more with Kosovo independence - Spain.

And why every European Country would like to join then? If you dont like EU why not join your beloved Russia? I for one would love EU to go together with US, Canada and Japan. Every democratic Country would beg to be included...and then where would you be?
