Last I heard nationalist parties with anti-foreigner, anti-enlargement sentiments are predicted to win. Where would that leave Macedonia (or any other Balkan country) then?

To be honest, I was worried you found work in mop-and-bucket department again, which would have meant no fun in this forum. But, as per established rule, you didn't pass the probation period and got fired. Not the end of the world though, you can always invest fictive money in Serbia and write about poll results being not accessible to general public, and feel proud and important for having said stupid things - as you always do.

If Macedonians wish to survive the onslaught of Albanian over population, and not lose its Christian Faith, Culture and Language, it should join Serbia as the state of North Macedonia in a special arrangement within Serbia. Unless that happens, goodbye Macedonians... you will have the same fate as the Serbs in Kosovo.

Didnt the Croats have their own nazi Croatia in WW2? Albanians have for many decades wanted an independent Kosovo....right? Preperations for the break up of Yugoslavia was planned in the 1960s. As soon as the Soviet collapsed the Croats and Slvenians could not wait to break up Yugoslavia. Serbia was the only republic who wanted to keep Yugoslavia together. I also know that soon after the collapse of the Soviet the idea of Yugoslavia joining the EU was mooted and discussed in Belgrade. Croatias plan was to always have a pure Catholic Croat nation, free of other ethnic groups, particularly Serbs. They started this policy in 1941 with German help and finished it in 1995.....again with German help.
Albanians keep saying half the Balkans belongs to them through some stone age tribe...

Tom.....a 2018 opinion poll conducted by Faktor Plus in Serbia showed that 34% of the public supported Serbias EU membership. That is a 4% drop from the previous year.
It appears that the majority of the Serbian population is against joining the EU. That opinion poll also showed that only 1% believe that Serbia would by accepted into the EU by 2025.

Wishing the best of luck to North Macedonia and hopefully it will be an EU member soon. Serbia on the other hand, is unlikely to join because of the KiM issue, however, just keep sending accession funds while Serbia continues to strengthen ties with Russia and China, as this is where the future lies.
China's technological progress is surpassing that of Western nations, so much so, that they are beginning to restrict and sanction it, however, that will only set them backwards while Serbia rides this wave and benefits from it. I am so happy that Serbia has chosen the future while the old world order is crumbling away.

Johannes, this was not what you said four weeks ago. You said that Serbia is on a steady route with half a decade away from EU, you said N Macedonia is one and a half decade away and Albania three decades away. Serbia province was not mentioned.

The EU is corrupt and dictates to smaller nation members. This is why we voted to leave in the UK.
As far as I can see most of the recent members, such as Croatia, Bulgaria, Rumania, etc have had little benefit from joining. By that I mean their national debt is way bigger than before they joined.
They do as Germany and Brussels tells them. They must join Nato (to send their soldiers to far away places to fight for mainly US interests). The level of corruption in these nations is amazing. But ask older members....such as Portugal, Spain, Italy, Greece, etc, just how good the EU has been for them...!!

One just has to take a quick look at the Serbian comments in order to come to the conclusion that indeed, Northern Macedonia will join the EU before Serbia.
The only reason talks were opened early was to give a carrot after the secession of Kosovo. Talks are meaningless - they integrate countries in the EU within a year if that's on the EU agenda.
For the rest, it seems that the propaganda of the SNS regarding the economy of Serbia is having a strong impact on the simple-minded (as confirmed per comments). As they truly believe Serbia is an economic powerhouse. Must be youngsters that haven't received their first paycheck.
In the meantime - I think the moderator should refrain from posting blatant racism in these comments. But then again, nothing much would be posted in this forum.

I think this has some truth to it; however, there is one caveat that could derail this for the Macedonians - the fact that they have been infested with a high Albanian population in recent years. With Europe's disdain for the Albanians, this could very well make membership difficult for our Macedonian Brothers. Get rid of your trash first, then the opportunity to get into the EU increases exponentially. We're good for now, not much interest to get into the EU for us Serbs, but we wish you luck.
