"As for the bypass around Belgrade, the section from Ostruznica to Bubanj Potok is being built by the Chinese and the Azerbaijanis."
"The bridge is on Sava River near Ostruznica is being built, that's done by Strabag, so we expect the bypass to be completed in three years," Drobnjak said.
According to him, these memorandums signed in China concern a highway from Novi Sad to Ruma, the section C of the bypass from Belgrade to Pancevo, as well as the financial contract for the Corridor 11 section from Cacak to Pozega.
This is good news. I don't care who's funding it. I just want more (and better) roads, please! It is always a mess driving to Novi Sad -- anytime of the day, except for the middle of the night -- and getting stuck in Belgrade rush hour traffic just because I want to go to Vojvodina. And don't even suggest that I go through Surcin because that road is complete madness times two!
