To Serbia, accomplishing this ambition will mean more jobs, more work for local subcontractors and suppliers and better living standards, Knezevic said at a Global Partnership conference organized by the Chinese company in Belgrade.
"It was a pleasure to work with the Linglong management. The professionalism, motivation and commitment we were met with confirm it is one of the most successful companies in the world, from which we will learn a lot," Knezevic said.
He thanked Linglong for bringing 500 of its partners, collaborators and subcontractors from around the world to Serbia.
The minister said that the construction of the factory in Zrenjanin will change the image of that city, the Banat region, and Serbia. Knezevic stressed that Chinese partners can expect good, smart and motivated people in Serbia, but also a good business environment and affirmed political incentive.
The minister pointed out that the relations between Serbia and China are at the best possible level and that economic results are exactly the result of the "good and steely friendship between the two countries, which have been established by the two presidents, Aleksandar Vucic and Xi Jinping."
Chairman and General Manager of Shangdong Linglong Wang Feng thanked the president of Serbia and the government for the support he said China has long-standing friendly relations.
Wang said that the company employs 13,000 people around the world, ranks 20th in tire production worldwide, and third in China.
He said the company has research centers located in North America, China and for now a center in Germany, and announced that when the factory in Zrenjanin is built, Serbia will get one such a center.

Serbia is already producing more than 13 million tires. Can check on internet. Only difference, this one is the most modern one, the most expensive, and owner is from China. Tigar (Michelin), Tryal (Cooper) and Ruma Guma (Galaxy) are the biggest.

Either Serbia has failed to comprehend what Chinese officials stated or this is an attempt to distort facts. Serbia will never be capable of producing 13 million tires, ever.
