Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Zorana Mihajlovic signed today An agreement on the seat of the Permanent Secretariat of the Transport Community with Acting Director of the Permanent Secretariat of the Transport Community Alan Baron.
The signing of the agreement was also attended by the Head of the EU Delegation to Serbia, Ambassador Sem Fabrizi.
On this occasion, Mihajlovic thanked the European Commission for choosing Serbia and Belgrade as the seat of the Transport Community, adding that this organisation will contribute to better integration of the region.
This agreement represents the operational implementation of a contract signed in Trieste in July 2017 which established the Transport Community. This is important for all countries of the Western Balkans, but also for the EU, because through a contract on the Transport Community, we create a unique transport market and get connected following high EU standards. Better connectivity will bring a better quality of life for our citizens, new investments and stability of the entire region, Mihajlovic said.
Baron highlighted the importance of this agreement because it speaks about the commitment of the EU and Western Balkan countries to a common goal - transport linking.
It is a newly-opened secretariat that will contribute to the progress of EU legislation in the countries of the region. This is important because of all future projects in the field of transport and infrastructure, it is important for the region, but also for the EU, Baron said.
The agreement on the seat of the Permanent Secretariat between the Republic of Serbia and the Transport Community, which has been signed today, provides for the establishment of the office and services of the secretariat in Belgrade, reads a statement from the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure.
Or, we can just impose a 100% tax on everything that passes through Serbia! Oh wait, some other country in the Balkans tried to do this and it backfired..... and they made fools out of themselves.

The idea of road tolls came up here a few times. But I did not expect killing almost all international trains and running the remaining ones in horrible sanitary conditions was ever on the table.
Mission accomplished!
Remember the all-first-class Olympic Express between Beograd and Sarajevo?
Remember the daily Hellas Express from Munich to Athens via Nis?
Remember the daily Acropolis from Munich to Athens via Kosovo Polje?
Remember the daily Pushkin (train #9/#10) from Belgrade to Moscow via Cegléd?
Now you can't even reasonably go from Vojvodina to Bar.
And there won't be any train from Vienna or BP to Belgrade because of rail work. Which will take who-knows-how-long.
Because... MÁV and ZS could not agree with CFR (Romanian company) how to re-route the train via Timisoara.
And there was a daily train from Belgrade to Bucharest as well, via Timisoara of course.

1) How can I transfer from Prokop (where trains from ZG or BP arrive) to Topcider (where trains to Bar start)?
2) Do you have vehicle transport cars from Subotica or Novi Sad to Bar? Because I hate to drive all the way.
3) What is the price of the Belgrade - Munich, Belgrade - Venice and Belgrade - Moscow ticket? Don't tell me, there is no train anymore - you promised all of them!
Thank you.
