Atif Dudakovic, who is suspected of war crimes, spoke in the town of Konjic last weekend, where he was welcomed with the wartime formation's flags, "and as a hero."
"Today's generations say the war is unfinished and that it's just that the shooting has stopped," he said.
"What are the fights and tribulations that we are going through and that we will be going through? What is to be done? Are there dangers? There are! Plenty," he told a panel organized by local veterans as part of the marking of Day of Underage Volunteers of the Army of the Republic of Bosnia-Herzegovina.
The newspaper said that young men dressed in berets and shirts decorated with war insignia carried war flags, while a large number of those present in the room wore military uniforms.
Early this year, Dudakovic spoke to representatives of Bosniak (Bosnian Muslim) diaspora in Luxembourg and called on Bosniaks in Western Europe to prepare for war, adding that he would personally engage in "networking those ready to resist the Greater Serb aggression."
At the time, he said each Bosniak over the age of 17 "must buy a uniform, a pair of boots, a sleeping bag, and a backpack."
An investigation has been ongoing for 11 years at the Prosecution of Bosnia-Herzegovina into the crimes committed by Dudakovic's fighters during the 1992-1995 war. The victims of these crimes were imprisoned Serbs, but also Bosniaks from the former Autonomous Province of Western Bosnia.
In the unlikely (and unwanted and unnecessary) event of fighting breaking out in Bosnia, I would expect the worst fighting between the Muslims and Croats who are clearly in a forced federation.
I don't think the vast majority of Bosnians of all types have any desire for war to start again. It's only the politicians, religious leaders and meddling from external countries that would be interested.

Atif is not a war criminal, he defended his home, funny how serbs call him a war criminal but hide real war criminals. Second bosniak ethnicity is not religious based, ask antun knezevic franjo jukic. In fact there are no serbs or croats in bosnia just brainwashed christian bosniaks. and to the tough guys saying bosniaks will go "back to turkey" remeber bosniaks are native to the balkan serbs are not.

Bosniaks are essentially majority Croat and Serb Muslims with some Slovenian and slavicised Albanian Muslims. Yet they get to have a country all to them selves because of their religion. I know what happened to them during the Yugoslavian wars was beyond horrific, but do they really need a country of their own when their only bond is not ethnic but religious. Yes I know about their so called connection to the region of Bosnia and Herzegovina but that area had passed through so many hands and was never home to a Bosnian ethnicity like other regions, the people there were a mixture of different groups who converted to Islam during the Middle Ages as the Ottomans conquered their way through the Balkans. I'm not trying to offend anyone, but religion cannot be a way to create a nation that will stand the test of time, there needs to be a blood bond that can hold it together. Otherwise you'll need up like the many other multiethnic nations in the world today full of war and racial/ethnic conflicts.

One thing I'll never understand...everybody wanted t breakup a Serb dominated Jugoslavija because they felt Srbs used/abused their higher numbers to dominate and rule their way....yet, Croats, Bosnians, Albanians are ready to go to war & fight to keep their Srb minorities under their rules and regulations...the same rules that they bitched about when Srbs were majority. Catch-22, if you ask me;)

Well said. Look at Serbs, blamed Albanians for weeks for wanting to create "greater Albania", yet themselves want to join with so-called RS. Serbian president said it himself, while Serbian PM tried to make it look less threatening.

Serbia wouldn't even want Republika Srpska to be independent or a part of Serbia so I don't know what this general is talking about. If we supported Republika Srpska being independent then our argument for keeping Kosovo would go down the drain. Republika Srpska is in the perfect position being nearly 100% autonomous and doesn't need to leave BiH.

They have to buy their own uniforms, boots, sleeping bag and backpack? That's a bit rough. Do they also have to buy their 72 virgin's?
