A large majority of citizens of Serbia thinks it would not be justified to go into an armed conflict so that Kosovo and Metohija remains a part of Serbia.

In 1999 it was civilians with guns who fought the serbian army and police. This time will be diffrent, we will have an proffessional army and national guard combined with our own military police. We will buy weapons,tanks and fighter planes from United States,Germany,Austria,Italy and Turkey and recruit more citizens into the military force. Contracts have already been signed. I do love the way all this fake news all revolves around Serbs. This another BS story designed to make Serbs think its time to give up on Kosovo, but that is not happening.
However, I do love these comments about Albos arming themselves, creating an army and signing contracts for armaments little realizing that Kosovo lives off EU funds. They have no idea that 80% of all people that are employed in Kosovo are working for the government which means EU money pays their salary. I think Thaci went to Brussels asking for money and since Brussels is printing until December they might give him some to buy a cappuccino or two.

I am not surprised, an average Serbian from Beograd or Novi Sad could not find Pristina on a map. I always wondered why there were so many songs during the Yugoslav Wars about men sitting in cafes getting drunk instead of fighting, now I know. When Serbs from Krajina and Kosovo escaped to Belgrade, the citizens of Belgrade came out and laughed at their accents and called them peasants. Serbs do not deserve a country if they are not willing to fight for it.

I ask who pays for this military? You see Kosovo does not have the resources or finances to pay for an army as one fighter plane along can cost anywhere between $80 million and $150 million then you have ongoing maintenance costs. Then there are airfields required, barracks, transport vehicles, helicopters and artillery so where does the money come from? and please no crap about Albanian diaspora are going to pass around the hat.

Europe will do everything to prevent another war in the western balkans and will use military response like they did in 1999 if its necessary. The Serbian economy is in the hands of the Serbs and since I don’t live there I have little say, but from what I see Belgrade is attracting plenty of industry unlike the other former republics eg Croatia is now relying on EU money to maintain hospitals and school and no industry has relocated there in the last two decades while they lose up to 10,000 people a month because of wealthy Croatia is going so well LOL.
But Serbia’s economy cannot really improve until the economy in the EU improves. However, Kosovo does not even have an economy.
Personally I don’t want war because I rather like what is going on now; Kosovo is being slowly chocked to death.
All I ask is how is this Kosovo army being paid for? but nobody can explain that satisfactorily and all come out with the same old story of passing the hat around.

Serbs will always be tourists in Kosovo becuase it´s not their land. You already have Serbia and Bosnia, thats big enough for serbs to live in. Forget about Kosovo, we will NEVER let you settle here again. Not in a 1000 years. Kosovo is not yours, time to learn to live with that. Not to mention serbs are only 1% of the population of Kosovo and many of them are moving to Belgrad or Germany instead of staying in Kosovo. Who needs a military solution when a political solution does everything and more? Kosovo is no more a state than an island, and the EU is doing wonders keeping the stillborn child of Albanian nationalism from maturing into anything else. Plus, a military solution would only get the north while hundreds if not thousands of Albanians would sign their lives away trying to get in the way of bullets in order to show the world that they're once again the victims of "genocide". And let's face it: life is cheap to people who have 10 or more kids. No, best to continue with the current plan of slowly pulling concessions out of a beleaguered government in Pristina who hopes this will get them into the UN.

Every single human being who supports war in my opinion belongs in a pshyciatric clinic regarding their ernicity or religion etc etc. The time of war in europe is over. Within 20 years there will be no borders in europe despite the fact mother russia is doing everything in her power to destabilize europe. Nevertheless they will fail on this. I agree, I am all about the economy. Right now, Serbia has the potential to grow its economy at 5% by 2019. Several years of that combined with defending Kosovo-Metohija diplomatically will convince a huge portion of rational Albanians that peaceful reintegration and autonomy is the way to prosperity for everyone living there!
There will be terrorists however. Just like in 1999. And for that, the only thing that matters to Serbia is to what degree will NATO be involved in supporting the terrorists again?

Having 1-2 children represents a declining population. You are right, young Albanians are now only having 1 or 2 children as they want a nice car or fashionable cloths and not to spend money on having a dozen kids plus there is no Tito to pay for things.
Plus the numbers of young people leaving Kosovo are resulting in abandoned villages since there is no employment nor any possibility for the economy to improve. Albo it people like you that are delusional.
