Fierce battles for Donbass continued. The Pentagon demanded an urgent ceasefire from Moscow.

Russia submitted concrete evidence to the United Nations Security Council about U.S. companies and individuals involved in the work of biolaboratories in Ukraine.

The Russian ambassador pointed out to the Security Council that Moscow had also discovered documents which indicate that the United States of America conducted military-biological programs in laboratories in Ukraine.

The United States rejects the accusations as unfounded and accuses Moscow of wanting to divert attention from the aggression in Ukraine.

The Russians gave up?

Ukraine "probably won the battle" for Kharkov, the second largest city in Ukraine, according to the BBC's Institute for War Studies on Saturday. The BBC writes that Russia has given up trying to surround that northeastern city, which is also called the fortress city.

"The turning point of the war in August"

The war will be at a turning point in August and will be finished by the end of the year, according to the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense, Kirill Budanov, Interfax Ukraine reports.

"Most of the fighting will be completed by the end of the year. As a result, we will restore Ukrainian power in all our territories we lost, including Donbas and Crimea," Budanov told Sky News, according to the administration's press service.
