The special prosecutor of Montenegro arrested
Special Prosecutor Saša Čađenović was arrested today by order of the Special State Prosecutor's Office for creating a criminal organization and abuse of office.

According to the spokesman of the State Prosecutor's Office, Vukas Radonjić, he was arrested on grounds of suspicion that, in the period from mid-2020 to 2022, he committed the criminal offense of creating a criminal organization and several other criminal offenses of abuse of office.
"The Special State Prosecutor's Office will inform the public in a timely manner about its further actions and the state of the proceedings, and I especially emphasize that state bodies, media, citizens' associations, public figures and other persons are obliged to adhere to the presumption of innocence and by making their public statements about the proceedings in progress, they should not violate other rules of the procedure and the rights of the person against whom the procedure is being conducted," announced Radonjić.
