The newspaper said that Ostrovski has in the meantime closed his Instagram account, and that he told the army he "did not take the picture but found it on the internet."
Palestinian officials have condemned the publishing of the photograph, saying it was proof that the Israeli army was acting with impunity. "Every Palestinian mother is worried about her child... Because of the picture that has now been seen across the world," Palestinian government spokesperson Noor Odeh has said.
The Israeli soldier's action has sparked outrage outside of Palestine as well. Although it was not possible to determine its authenticity, the message sent by Ostrovski was clear, said reports.
The Israeli military, in the meanwhile, said it was looking into the incident, and that such behavior "was not in line with the spirit and the values of the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF)".
Disciplinary action has been taken in the past against Israeli soldiers who chose to post online photographs showing them posing next to Palestinian detainees.
My mistake, Fikret. A lot of nations on the Balkans started converting to Islam, including us Serbs - hence your existence on the message section of a Serbian news site. I assumed you were Albanian by the thought process that went into your posts; you should have had a much more engaging argument for someone who is a Serb - or at least, was.

" I just don't tend to place fully grown adults on par with children like you Albanians do."
Now I'm used to being called a Bosniak or a Muslim, although I'm really a Yugoslav & an atheist. But the Albanian role is something new.

The Jews came from a different place onto land that was mostly Palestinians and over the years they killed and made refugees out of them and became the majority and established their own state just like the Albanians did in Kosovo.

I sympathise with all civilian victims, Fikret. I just don't tend to place fully grown adults on par with children like you Albanians do.

Israel steals and colonizes Arab land, just like NATO and Albanians take Serb land. West and Israel deny Palestine and many Serbs right to self determination.

"In this case Fikret, I guess we can relate more to the Palestinian boy in the photo. After all, the Israeli is aiming his gun at a child, much like the brave Albanians of Kosovo are."
Does that mean you also identify yourselves with those Bosniaks civilians in Sarajevo back in the 1990s?

Following the shades in "original" highest resolution images I can say, for sure, that this is not a single photo. It is altered combination of at least 3 images taken in different time.
Even without importing hi-rez image and analyzing it, on b92 image, you can clearly see shade conflict- difference between morning, almost noon and afternoon, between boys back and tree shades (center) and cement wall (upper left) and even cement area (bottom right).
However "I built" object the sniper was in it was impossible to get such a shades.
The act is what it is but this is cheap false image and nothing else.
Still, it would be interesting photo if it was real, photographer in this case would sell his focus technique for pure gold as EVERYTHING is in focus :)

"Now that's rather surprising. I always thought Serbia sees itself in a similar situation as the Israelis!"
Some Serbian Zionists do but that's rather odd since their (the Jews) history in ME is very disputable to say the least, whereas Serb history in this region is beyond any doubt,we didn´t occupy and settle other peoples land and we never left and most of us didn´t convert to other faiths over time either.

"Kosovo-Albanian soldier posts photo of Serbian boy in crosshairs" (NATO/€ULEX looks the other way)
or:
"German soldier in Kosovo posts photo of Serbian boy in crosshairs".
In Afghanistan the Germans where caught playing football with Afghan skulls, just like their granddads did in Yugoslavia. We (Serbs) are all Palestinians now...
