    Jumping the gun Bob it could be revenge by government forces it could be civilians killed by exiting rebel insurgents. Either way the conflict was started by outsiders wanting change and these rebels are not the democrats to lead this country. They use and stir up tensions introducing sectarian violence that the innocent and unsuspecting civilians will pay for decades to come. Only yesterday they behead a newly married Christian and butchered the body to feed to dogs as a sign of things to come, this after they recently encouraged a child to behead a prisoner. The future is not with the rebellion but with a orderly transition from Assad as Russia is working on.

    The US and Western govts should hang their heads in shame for supporting such scum of the earth.

  2. Russia could have stopped this, but instead chose to support a regime that was too entrenched and not wanted by a large part of the Syrian population.

    Russia has lost face. It may also lose politically and financially in the longer term because of its mistaken policy towards the people of Syria.
