She really needs to pay for this. A baby cannot defend itself.
We are judged by the way we treat our most vulnerable (children and elderly) and if we claim to be a good society then we have to act that way and punish the ones who don't.

Sometimes people do some irrational things. We have had several cases in Australia of babies being abandoned only to find out that the mother suffered from extreme form of depression and could not think rationally or her family were never aware of the pregnancy and it would bring shame on the family. The last case I recall was in Gosford on the Central Coast of NSW were a baby born only hours before was left near a dumpster.
It turned out that her mental condition caused her to do just that.

Let's not be too hasty to judge the mother. There could be many reasons why this incident occurred from depression to family pressure if found to have given birth to an illegitimate child.
These are isolated incidents in most countries even in the progressive west.

I don't give a damn what her reason is, nothing justified attempted murder of a baby. A defenseless little baby. What monster can do this?
If she couldn't take care of this child why didn't she take the baby to a nearest hospital, church, police station, anywhere where the child would be safe and surrender it.

Yes, this is a big deal if the baby is a pure Serb. The mother should go to jail for a long time. Otherwise not so big of a deal.
