Air Serbia names airplane after musician Goran Bregovic
An Air Serbia Airbus A319 aircraft was on Tuesday named after musician and composer Goran Bregovic.
Source: B92, TanjugBregovic was the founder of the Yugoslav pop band Bijelo Dugme, Tanjug reported.
The Bosnia-born musician is the fifth Serbian citizen to be honored in this way. In the past, Serbia's national carrier named its planes after athletes Novak Djokovic, Vlade Divac and Dejan Stankovic, and actor Predrag Miki Manojlovic.
The inscription with Bregovic's name was today unveiled at Belgrade's Nikola Tesla International Airport by the president of the Air Serbia Supervisory Board Sinisa Mali, Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Zorana Mihajlovic and Serbian National Assembly President Maja Gojkovic.
