New Serbian cabinet holds first session

The new Serbian government, elected on Thursday, held the first session in Belgrade on Friday, and decided to to appoint Novak Nedic as its secretary-general.

In addition, the government adopted conclusions whereby bills and other acts tabled to the Serbian National Assembly prior to the election of the new government are withdrawn from parliamentary procedure, the government press office said in a statement.

Prime Minister Ana Brnabic explained that this was standard procedure.

The government also noted the termination of duties of state secretaries in all ministries.

A decision was made to hold regular sessions on Thursdays, starting at 13:00 hours CET.
