"Many untapped opportunities for Serbia-Belarus cooperation"

Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic received on Thursday Belarus Ambassador to Serbia Vladimir Chushev, who was on a farewell visit.

Vucic thanked Chushev for his strong engagement for the development of relations of Serbia and Belarus, the Serbian government said.

Vucic said that the diplomat, "with his experience and hard work," made a great contribution to the promotion of cooperation between the two countries and wished him much success in his future work.

Vucic "expressed satisfaction that the Road map of cooperation between Serbia and Belarus was signed during his visit to Minsk, because there are many untapped opportunities for linking the two countries in the economy, culture and other fields."

He said that Serbian companies that do business in Belarus have proved to be reliable since in Belarus they are counting on them for future projects too.

Vucic thanked Belarus on its principled support to the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Serbia.

Chushev "expressed his gratitude to the government of Serbia for the support that he had during his tenure in Belgrade, as well as satisfaction that the political and economic relations between the two countries to date recorded visible progress, expressing hope that this trend will continue."

The ambassador "underlined that he is proud that sixteen towns of Serbia fraternized with the cities in Belarus, because that brings people closer and creates stronger ties between the two countries."

Vucic and Chushev also talked about the possibility of organizing a trilateral meeting of Serbia, Belarus and Hungary.
