"Not too late for Jeremic and Jankovic to agree"
Opposition SDS President Boris Tadic has called on Sasa Jankovic and Vuk Jeremic to reach agreement so that only one of them runs for president.

Tadic thinks that after the announced candidacy of Tomislav Nikolic, now is the chance to for the opposition to unite and to have a joint candidate.
Urging Jankovic and Jeremic to sit down at the negotiating table and find a solution, the former Serbian president noted the possibility of early parliamentary elections also being called, and that in this case, the two of them could agree on the presidential position, that is, on the premiership.
As he said, the political responsibility is now on Jankovic and Jeremic, not on the opposition parties.
"If by any chance this is not the result, it is important to agree on basic principles, what the principles are, and all direct all energy towards political opponents," said Tadic.
He did not want to specify which presidential candidate he was closer to, saying that such a statement "could reduce the chances of reaching an agreement."
