New Serbia (NS) announced today that in so doing, Tadić had “grossly violated the Constitution and interfered in the work of the government”.

The statement adds that “presiding over the National Council is an abuse of office, with the goal of controlling every institution in the country.”

"NS will ask that along with the formation of a control committee to review the Council’s decision to terminate the Horgoš-Požega highway concession, the authorities should state their position and give their opinion on whether the president is guilty of abuse of office,” the statement continues.

The NS statement concludes by stating that “the president is obliged to conduct his duties as a statesman, and not to interfere in the work of the government.”
