1. "Muslim polygamy plays the major role here: a man who can afford it is entitled by the Koran to four wives ? at any one time; divorce is executed by three times pronouncing the formula "I divorce thee!". Some of the "wives" are little girls who, as one (female) observer of women's rights in Islamic societies aptly puts it, "still playing with dolls". "

Hahahaha! He is saying that this goes on in Kosova since it's 'Islamic.' Some author. No wonder no one believes a word you guys say.

  2. A friend of mine, like me not Serbian, related to me a conversation he had in Kosovo back in the 1980s with some young Albanians. He asked them "what do you guys do for fun?" They answered: "Serb-hunting".

Now you had 350,000 regular Army. Equipped and trained presumably 3rd in the continent.

Complete control of police, and secret services.

Full support of the western countries and Russia (Yalta agreement)

Capillary diplomacy in every corner of Europe and world.

And again someone was hunting you.

Miraculously the hunters lost even that small and limited self-governance that they had exactly in the 80s.

Kosova was the northern vilayet overwhelmingly populated by Albanians. Kosova had always an authority that was ruling here (the problem was that it wasn’t a Kosovar authority). One needs to OPEN the archives in ISTAMBUL to understand who was living in kosova NOT the archives of UDBA and KGB.

Before that you speak about Kosova you will have to stop at the “ARnautski Pazar” in NIS. You will have to explain how NIS and the area sorrouning lost the Albanian presence. Than you will go slightly southern into Kosova. You have to be methodical and not to JUMP form north to south from an argument to another.

Your link: is a pure propaganda and full of ignorance. They depicted Rugova as Muslim integralist where hi died as catholic.

They depicted Drenica as a “strong hold” of Islamists while DRENICA has NOT EVEN ONE MOSQUE.

Two are explanations: or they are complete ignorant or it was Seselj that was writing the articles.

Before that you enjoy or raccoment to enyoj tale us soemthing about teh prcess of the six in HAGUE. you have the link here in B92.

  3. Ben

However, can any of you Serbs (that feel the pain) explain me why you never wanted to live in Kosova, moreover NEITHER you CHURCH wants to live in the "holly Serbian soil" why???

Ben. Now I know you K-Albanians view the Americans as some God like nation- like you have with others in the past but I'm going to refer you to some articles available on the late(may he rest in peace) Col David Hackworth's website. He is arguably the US' greatest soldier of modern times. Please read these articles as they are full of facts and figures that may answer your above question and many others. Please take time to read it and I encourage others too do so also. Look at who wrote these articles. On another note for those aspiring for military careers -if you get the chance to read his book 'About Face' do so.

I'll leave with a quote from one of the articles:

A friend of mine, like me not Serbian, related to me a conversation he had in Kosovo back in the 1980s with some young Albanians. He asked them "what do you guys do for fun?" They answered: "Serb-hunting".

  4. “Russia feels Serb pain”

Obviously. Both Russian Empire/Soviet Union and Yugoslavia were authoritarian-nationalist empires where Eastern-minded Slavic elite controlled, and many times garroted, the many different peoples who had to live inside their borders.
    (Bad Gorilla, 23 August 2008 09:41)
  5. What is the difference of a country where 97% are Albanians as it is Albania today and a land where 95% are Albanians as Kosova?? None! they are both ALBANIAN. It is simply to give back to Albanians what is owned to them what was stolen to them- the land.
    (ben, 22 August 2008 21:30)

There are millions of Muslims in England and France, more than Albanians in Kosovo, and by this logic certain areas there should be their for the taking.

Why do you think there are 90% Albanians in Kosovo? Before WW2 Serbs numbered just over half and look at the percentage now. How do you think that happened?

Just by having an alarmingly high birth rate and ethnically cleansing Serbs from Kosovo for decades doesn't give you any right now to take it for yourself.
Also, a very interesting choice of words to describe yourself. You call yourselves Albanians which means you came from Albania. You have lived in Kosovo for a long time but then so have the Serbs. Since when was Kosovo a province of Albania? The proof of Serbian settlement and ownership of Kosovo is all around in the many churches and monasteries build centuries ago. How can you possibly say that Serbs took that land away from you?
There was no bloody war centuries ago where Serbs invaded and occupied Kosovo.
It was a settlement like most of the tribes settled in those days.

Kosovo has been Serbian territory for centuries. Show me when Kosovo was part of Albanian territory.
    (Peggy, 23 August 2008 02:15)
  6. as tia: you are fooling yourself with comments like that one above.
there are some Serbs, known as the LDP, who are acting against serbian national interest, and are very likely payed by foreign powers, but, that does not mean that Serbia will change its stand on the question of its southern province.

don´t expect that to happen, my dear.

as for ben or "politicaly", ( where´s the second L? ), who appear to be the same person:

there was nothing stolen from the Albanians. you know that.
you´ve never owned it, since it was and still is serbian territory.

  7. If the Russian ambassador cast doubts twice about the endurance and perseverance of Serbs and Serbian Government concerning Kosovo, he's not rendering anybody a service, With a friend like that, who needs ennemies?
    (PetervanderGaast, 22 August 2008 23:05)
  8. The holy Serbian Orthodox Church has been persecuted on Kosovo soil for centuries, first by occupying Ottoman forces, and then by Albanians.

Isn't it the state of Albania that is creating a "greater Albania" by adding the territory of Kosovo to its borders? Be realistic, do the so called "Kosovars" view themseleves differently than Albanians in Albania proper? I think not.
    (USA, 22 August 2008 19:44)

Now to the guy speaking form teh White house

    1. Is teh seat of the Orthodox Churches in Constantinople since the foundation till today???

    2. if Turks or Albanians wanted to destroy the Serbian Churches brick after brick they would have been destroyed centuries ago. See also the statement of the Montenegrin President: no one can better preserve teh Serbian cultural heritage in Kosova than Albanians, this is historically proven.

    3. I thought that the effective control over Kosova at least since after the WW1 was by Yugo/Serbia and not by Albania. Hence the power was exercised by Serbs not Albanians. How could we band Serbs to, at least reallocate teh seat of their Church from Belgrade in Kosova during this time??? How could we have impeded that???

    4. who could impeded Serbian Church to reallocate here seat in Kosova at least during teh Milosevic’s era?? Or after the WW1- Bush or Clinton?? ;) even for a year, a month, a day would be enough teh will to do it- but no NEVER even teh will was shown from your Church.

About your second statement: adding Kosova to Albania will be created the NATURAL or Ethnic Albania.

  9. Ben,

The holy Serbian Orthodox Church has been persecuted on Kosovo soil for centuries, first by occupying Ottoman forces, and then by Albanians. Remember what happened a few years ago when hundreds of churches and monasteries in Kosovo were either damaged or destroyed by Albanians? It makes it very difficult for the church to survive in an environment such as the one created by the majority Albanian population. But, no worries, the Serbian church will always be there.

Your other comments regarding Serbian and Russian territorialism are nothing short of comical. Isn't it the state of Albania that is creating a "greater Albania" by adding the territory of Kosovo to its borders? Be realistic, do the so called "Kosovars" view themseleves differently than Albanians in Albania proper? I think not.
    (USA, 22 August 2008 19:44)
  10. Just look at what's happening in Georgia and analyze Russian policy. It is very contradicting.
    (Jim, 22 August 2008 18:23)
  11. The pain!

I guess is carrot after the Lavrov's yesterday statement about the Genocide in Srebrenica and previously ‘Georgia should forget her sovereignty over SO and Abkhasia’. 2 statements not really coherent with Serbian interest in a single week was judged too much I presume.

However, can any of you Serbs (that feel the pain) explain me why you never wanted to live in Kosova, moreover NEITHER you CHURCH wants to live in the "holly Serbian soil" why???

I never laugh to the ppls pain but this is tragic-comical.

The most interesting thing here is the political philosophy that the Russian ambassador proclaims here.

That is: Kosova is to close to Nis- hence it needs to be incorporated in Serbia.

Now this perverse logic made Russia to have 17 million km2 of land. Don't you think it is bit perverse logic this one.

Tomorrow what you will say: the Adriatic coast is to close to teh "holly Serbian Kosova" hence lets take Durres?

I am wondering if in the Russian diplomatic schools the students are taught about good taste and the importance of the sobriety.
    (ben, 22 August 2008 17:47)
  12. As long as Serbia stands for this. He repeated it twice. So the time is going to come when Serbia will realise is fighting for something that does not belong to her. Then eventually Russia will support the new position of Serbia. FULL INDIPENDENCE
    (AS TIA, 22 August 2008 17:09)
  13. "I am aware of how Serbia suffers over this, and we feel your pain. Moscow will support Belgrade in the protection of the country's integrity "as long as Serbia stands for that".
"Russia will support the protection of Serbia’s integrity. As long as you are advocating this, we will continue to help you,” Konuzin said.

Since some in Russia and Serbia compared the S. Ossetia with Kosovo, does that mean that Konuzin feel the Georgia pain over S. Ossetia and respect Georgia’s integrity.
“As long as you stand for that….” Does this mean that Konuzin feels that soon Serbia will no longer stand for time wasting case – oppose Kosovo independence?
