1. Germany started 2 world wars? wasn't it Princip (a serb) who started ww1? I think the more troops containing peace in that region, the better

  2. "Once again unbelievable. By some of commentators the today Germany is purely compared with Germany of WWII. German troops are everywhere where the peace is in danger from nationalist who in that case are serbs & Co. I am wondering what would you think about Germany if it had not recognize the Kosovo independence....... Respect for the brave German soldiers.
    (Endri, Albania, 29 February 2008 22:04)"

Today's Germany is indeed different from Germany under Nazi rule. Germany is quite humble towards Russia after the defeat against the Soviet Union, the occupation and creation of the former DDR, the Soviet go ahead to reunify Germany and the dependence on Russian natural gas. Serbia has never attacked Germany, two WWs were brought upon Serbia in which it suffered terribly despite being victorious eventually, Germany never apologized to Serbia for the huge suffering caused and still Germany is extremely motivated to do everything possible to control, humiliate and help Serbia break apart. Are Germans such a soar loosers? Germany should in this respect become much more humble and stay out of Serbia's business and from its soil for a long long time. That is not just a matter of politeness, but also of smartness. No Serb in the world in surprised that Germany recognized Kosovo and even if they did not we would still not like them. I am wondering if your "brave German soldiers" will ever be so stupid to even kill one Serb in Kosovo, because in that cause a lot of things will change. Less than two weeks and already a lot of things have happened and this is just the tip of the iceberg what lies ahead.

  3. the KFOR troops (whether German, Italien or Martian) will primarily be there to keep the Serbs and Albanians separate so that they don't come to blows and kill each other ie. a large part of the troops will be at the Ibar, and also places like Strpce and Decani. where Serbs and their monuments are concentrated.

  4. Endri, you're right. If Germaniy did not support Kosovo then they would've received respect from Serbia and deserved it because they would've proved that they are not the same Germany of old.

Now that they have shown themselves not to have changed they will not only not get respect from Serbia, but they will not get respect from most of the world. Remember, only 40 out of 200 countries are prepared to play along and support independent Kosovo. the rest of the world has decency and respect for the law.

So yes, I must say you are right when you said that Germany would've had respect from Serbia if things were different.

  5. My goodness, those Germans sure love starting conflicts in Europe. 2 World Wars wasnt enough, now they are back for more.

  7. Yeah, it's easy for Germany to show it's valour by babysitting immature children in the Balkans, but cowers to the when they're asked to do the dirty work in Kandahar..

This is nothing but a feel good mission for NATO countries that are afraid to engage in the messy areas of US interest.

  8. RE: KPS/Albanian Military

The day KPS or Albanian troops try to move into North Kosovo will be met with resistance and quite possibly lead to Serbia MUP moving in as per UN Resolution 1244 which stipulate the return of Serbian troops to protect religious and borders.

The only "legal" troops in Kosovo is UNMIK, not the KPS , or any other illegal EU/EULEX military or civil organization. The Athisarri plan was not passed by the UN and defacto is an illegal document just like Kosovo is an illegal state run by a KLA Terrorist Hacim Thaci.

  9. Ousted two times in history under humiliating forms by the Serbs.

The Germans never get it, do they?
    (Fritz, 29 February 2008 15:53)
  10. After more than 60 years the German army back on Serbian soil? Let's hope that history doesn't repeat itself.
    (Marco, Amsterdam, 29 February 2008 15:27)
  11. Sidi,

Those troops are there only for you Albanians and you will have them in the next 100 years. But you should be happy since Germans are coming back on the crime scene from the past to support once again the puppet state. Be sure they won’t be not even near the border in North and they certainly cannot prevent any incursion if Serbs want to enter its southern province.
    (bmrusila, 29 February 2008 15:26)
  12. ... and this is after Germany's responsibility for kicking off the Balkan wars by its support for its Croatian friends...
    (B, 29 February 2008 15:20)
  13. "When the additional battalion joins the troops already stationed in Kosovo, the German contingent of 2800 troops will be the biggest within KFOR.

Currently, Italy has the largest number of troops serving within the international mission."

Germany? Italy? It sounds familiar. When it was? 1940's?
    Who were the leaders?
    Hitler and Mussolini, weren't they?
    (Zbyszek, 29 February 2008 14:37)
  14. You could of taken those pages from WW 2 but it is 2008 the more things change the more they are of the same old. … How would of believed it that German and Italian troops would be back in force at this late date in Serbia unbelievable but true.
    (Lenard, 29 February 2008 14:18)
  15. These troops should be stationed along the border with Serbia, to the north and east, to prevent any incursions by "former army reservists" into the sovereign territory of Kosova. They should remain there until the new Army of Kosova (something which the Kosovars have not had until now) is fully built and equipped (by the USA) and able to take on security in that area.
