He said that SRS MPs were prepared to allow a state of emergency to be introduced in the event of Kosovo declaring independence.
Nikolić added that President Boris Tadić and Prime Minister Vojislav Koštunica must not “split up” at a time when Kosovo was being “usurped” from Serbia.
Nor did the SRS leader rule out the possibility of forming a majority with the Democratic Party of Serbia in parliament on the matter, in addition to the majority that already exists that opposes the EU interim deal.
However, he said that it was difficult to say whether he would agree to form a technical majority in parliament with the DSS until parliamentary elections, adding that the DSS had as yet not given any such signals.
Nicolic’s ability to stay in office proves, once again, that the guy who said that “every nation gets the government that it deserves.” …was anti-serb!

What does excactly "state of emergency" mean?
Is it just a declaration from the governemnt of a "state of emergency" and .... that's pretty much it?
For those who cheer up Nikolic, can they explain what could more Nikolic do to keep Kosova inside Serbia if, let's say, was selected as PM or even in the parlament!!
Aren't you fed up with words, words, words and more empty words?

“He said that SRS MPs were prepared to allow a state of emergency to be introduced in the event of Kosovo declaring independence.”
That would just speed up the entire independence recognizing process, as far I can understand the politics, as instability in the region can only be defeated by stabilizing at least starting with part of it, meaning a broad recognition of Kosova. So, thank you SRS and DSS, go ahead.

Bravo, bravo Mr Nikolic. This is how the real politicians should act when the country’s sovereignty and stability is jeopardized. I am impressed even more by his attitudes nowadays. This man today deserves the respect of all of us.
