Vucic: Kosovo proposal in March; foreigners won't interfere

"If someone cannot understand it, then that's their problem. Let everyone know: we will conducted a unified-Serbia policy, in which foreigners will not interfere as long as I am at the helm of the state!," Vucic said.
Asked to comment on "whether US Ambassador in Belgrade Kyle Scott had directly interfered in Serbia's internal affairs by publicly criticizing Defense Minister Aleksadar Vulin" - Vucic said that he "does not think so" and added: "The whole case has been raised to a much higher level than it deserves."
"Scott did not say anything particularly new. These are his known views. But in our country, foreigners will not be conducting our policy," he said.
March next year is a realistic date for us to come out with a proposal on Kosovo and Metohija, Vucic also said.
"That will certainly be a solution different from the easiest 'solutions' such as chest-thumping and sloganeering about our territory of one million years, as well as the other, where you are being asked to say, 'long live independent Kosovo'. It will be a solution that will require painful compromises on both sides, and one that will be attacked from all sides," Vucic told the newspaper, in the interview to be published in its 64th anniversary issue.
Asked whether "our state has the capacity to achieve a partition of the province," Vucic replied: "Anything I would suggest at this moment would be interpreted as imposing a solution."
"I want to hear what people think about it. We are not alone in that dialogue. The US, Russia, China, the EU all have a say. The Albanians also have a say," he stated.
As for the request of Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj to include the US in the ongoing EU-facilitated dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina, Vucic said: "As far as we are concerned, the EU is the main mediator."
"(Serbia's) former authorities headed by (Boris) Tadic and (Vuk) Jeremic accepted that this topic be moved from the UN. Although we respect the role of the United States, any change in the format of the dialogue would require agreement and Serbia's consent," Vucic said.
When it comes to the announced national declaration, the president said that a team of prominent professors was working on the text, and that he believes that "everything will be finished by the end of the year."
When the interviewer remarked that "a part of the so-called civil society is stigmatizing this text as a new 'Greater Serbia' manifesto," Vucic said:
"Maybe all those are afraid of the possibility that the Serbs might get a brain and start thinking about themselves and their future. According to them, the Serbs not only have no right to think about their past - they must not even think about the future."
Watcher,
Indeed, time to negotiate for Serbia was twenty years ago. If Serbia had taken your advice then, they would not have been bombed, resulting in having their infrastructure destroyed, environment polluted and being made a pariah in the eyes of the world. It also would have prevented Serbia from suffering the humiliation it did. Consequently, Kosova, as a result of Serbia's pain and misery, became the most happy and optimistic nation in Europe. Therefore, you are correct, it does pay to negotiate rather than gamble away your way of life and loose 20% of your territory to boot!

Time to negotiate what you can, my friend...whatever that means!
(Watcher, 16 October 2017 21:07)
Of course, Kosovo is always open to negotiate with Serbia any matter of mutual interest, like a free trade agreement, etc.

Whatever it is that the Serbian government proposes will no doubt be viewed with suspicion amongst Albanians. Sitting idle and watching a frozen conflict thaw only deepens the economic woes for both communities. Those who have suffered should never be asked to forgive and let go but remaining in a state of perpetual animosity toward others serves no one. Learn to love your neighbour and see what the future brings. That advice applies to politicians also. Alexander is after all rather sensible and pragmatic. Not immune to compromise.

Vucic going to have purposel on March only propsel he should have Recognize Kosova as independent Country. Otherwise Kosovo Government and Kosovo People won’t expect anything and then what Serbian Government going to do start another War. In case Serbian Government doesn’t know Kosova is o ready Independent country been recognized by most Powerful contrys round the world.

There is no solution without the USA imposing it. Forget about anything else. Sorry, but there is no place for Serbs in Albanian territories and Albanians in Serbian territories. Unfortunately we are not at those civilization levels yet. We can't even tolerate LGBT communities amongst ourselves, nonetheless others... Borders are drawn, people shall move (like my family did in 1991) and get on with our lives. Look forward to better lives elsewhere. Have a wonderful day my friends from all sides (in reality one side of circle of poverty, nationalism, poor education and non-tolerance). I wish us all the best.

The best thing is happening in kosovo is that 5% of serbs are working and enjoying living in kosovo they also are part of government of Republic of Kosovo and they Accept and they took an oath according to constitution of Republic of kosovo.I strongly believe they are better of in kosovo then to many Serbs in Serbia wage is more higher, pensions are more higher and benefits are more higher.I won’t be surprised if serbs from Serbia start migrating to kosovo.
The other thing is I can’t understand What vucic wants! to take Nobel price for something that already has happened or trying to make decisions for other people’s lives .
If Serbia recognise Kosovo 🇽🇰 believe that will be a real problem for kosovo as many Serbs criminals will be able to come freely in kosovo and can caused lots of trouble.Albanian people in kosovo will never hurt any local Serbs as they know how it feels being scared living in your own home and we need serbs to be honest to share different things, thoughts, ideas as we need to bild a better country and that’s we are are already doing ✌🏼
Peace to President Vucic

No. We fought for independence and that was that. We are never going back to servia again. We would rather fight for our home again instead. There are no alternatives. Screw Autonomy! We are independent and sovereign.
2 Free - You STILL don't get it! You can be all you want to be, but without Serbia's consent, you have nothing, but indepence in name! There will be no investment, no world involvement and constant issues with traveling. Now all this might be ok with you, but for all the young people who want no part of your "Dream State" of Kosova*, they want jobs, food, roof over their head, safety & security for their children and families. Ever wonder why the young can't get out of your "dream State" fast enough?? These people are not interested in eating grass and fighting 'til the last man in a losing battle. Time to negotiate what you can, my friend...whatever that means!

At this point it won't matter what type of solution there is. The current trend is secession. Keep in mind that there are Serbs all over the Balkans as well. Greeks will cut into Albania, Hungarians into Serbia, Serbs in Bosnia, and so on. Then one day we will all be living in tiny countries that are useless and it will take 3 days to travel 500 kms because of the border checks.

The very name of "internal dialogue" makes it clear as crystal that Kosovo is no longer part of Serbia. The only new developement that could happen is removing Kosovo from Serbia`s Constitution.
But even that doesn`t really matter. For hundreds of years Kings of England used to call themselves as Kings of France but that didn`t bother the real Kings of France.
